Ocean Island Inn seeking a Head Housekeeper to keep our home away from home sparkling clean and welcoming! It can also include benefits such as extended paid time off and a medical plan. - The position is guaranteed 40 hours a week year round. - The shifts are typically 8am-4:30pm. - We are flexible with time off, even during the peak summer period, so you can do travelling of your own or whatnot. - Our staff grow with us and there are always opportunities to advance or gain experience in other departments. - Hospitality industry discounts, and freebies in Victoria and the region and at traveler accommodation in North America. - Inclusive and casual workplace with no dress codes or uniforms. JOB DESCRIPTION - Maintaining Ocean Island Inn's high standard of cleanliness throughout our facility. - Training and supervising our delightful housekeepers. - Being involved with the housekeeping schedule and staffing planning. - Providing a clean, friendly and inviting environment for our guests to relax and feel at home in. QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES - Housekeeping experience in a hotel or other accommodation business. - A friendly but firm approach to supervising and working with people. - An ability to work independently, be organized and manage time effectively. - Supervision experience preferred.
