Garage Door & Gate Technician

Depend-a-Dor is a local, family owned and operated company. Founded in 1982 to fill the growing demand for commercial and residential garage door installation and service in the Victoria market. Since then, we have become one of the most experienced and trusted companies in this trade. We install and service some of the largest and most specialized commercial door and gate projects in Victoria and the surrounding area. We are looking for a mechanically inclined person with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to join our team. Experience within the industry is not required but would be beneficial. Please review this list of skills and qualifications to be successful in garage door and gate trade; High level of workmanship and attention to detail Confident using hand and power tools The ability to troubleshoot mechanical & electrical issues Experience with concrete forming Forklift and aerial platform experience are an asset Able to maintain high level or workmanship Ability to effectively communicate with customer and office personnel Effectively manage time and resources to complete the required jobs Able to work unsupervised & in a team Must have a valid class 5 drivers license and clean ICBC abstract Welding & fabrication experience would be an asset Perform other duties as assigned Complete and submit paperwork for each job each day Physical work Environment Ability to work in outside weather conditions Physically fit & able to lift in excess of 60 lbs Willingness to work on ladders of a variety of heights Adhere to all company policies and safety requirements What we offer Monday-Friday steady work Overtime Work Available Opportunity to expand skills Competitive wages based on experience Extended medical/dental covered and insurance (after probation period) Company issued cell phone Company Vehicle after training period At Depend-a-Dor we expect a high level of professionalism within our team.
