Experienced Plumbing, Heating and Mechanical Estimator/Project Manager

City Service Plumbing and Heating has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Residential and Commercial Plumbing/Mechanical Estimator/Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience, in the Plumbing & Heating & Mechanical Industry in estimation and project management. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required: * Technical background in Plumbing & Heating is necessary, ideally with Red Seal * You must be very well organized to thrive in this position, with ability to work under pressure and have good written and oral communication skills * Have the ability to develop new business, as well as develop additional business within our existing customers. * Multiple years with practical and successful experience in estimating and project management for plumbing, heating and mechanical projects within a field or office setting * You must possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * A valid BC License, with a good driver's abstract * Strong understanding of technical specifications and ability to read Mechanical and Architectural plans and prepare accurate tender prices * Experience in Commercial projects with the understanding of Mechanical contracting and managing associated sub trades * Ability to read sub contractors tenders and review scopes Key aspects of the role are: * Performing quantity takeoffs including and assembling all elements of an estimate including labour, material, equipment and subcontractor pricing entry into a computerized estimating system * Provide onsite pricing and recommendations for residential renovations where plans and specs are not available * Attend and participate in site-visits, pre-bid meeting and post-bid meeting as required * Establish strong relationships with suppliers and sub trades to ensure sound and competitive pricing is received * On the spot decision making/problem solving * Coordinate with the field employees to ensure that labour requirements are determined, assigned and dispatched to worksites An attractive remuneration package with medical benefits is available for the right individual, please send all applications via email only, no phone at this time please
