Nurture Early Childhood Education Centre (www.nurturevictoria.ca) is a brand new licensed daycare opening up in Vic West in the Spring 2020. Nurture is located in an amazing space in Vic West, with tons of natural light in our fully remodelled 1914 character building, beautiful decor, and lots of space. Daily outdoor programming at two of the neighbourhood parks means every week will be full of fun. We have a unique music and language program introducing kids to different genres of music and languages each week, and will be teaming up to start a community gardening program in the summer. Also, we pride ourselves in creating affordable childcare spaces by reserving 50% of our spots for families accessing the Affordable Childcare Benefit. Our goal is to create an inclusive and inspiring childcare centre that helps bring joy and fun for everyone involved. We need you to help make our vision a reality! We are a licensed Group centre with a maximum of 20 children and 5 staff. We will be operating two programs: An IT (infant toddler) program with 12 children, and a 3-5 (toddler) program with 8 children. We are looking for an exceptional ECE-IT who is interested in more than just a job but the experience of being a leader in the creation of this exciting new centre. Lots of room for growth and creative input! Position: ITE ECE Certified (Full-time) 42.5hrs (paid 1/2 hour lunch each day). Location: Victoria West Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Salary: $25.00/hour (Base rate of $23/hour + government wage enhancement =$2/hour.) Vacation: Three weeks paid vacation/year, plus two paid professional development days per calendar year. Benefits: Full benefits (including dental) after six months of employment.
