Dog Hiker / Canine Caregiver

Ruffin It Dog Care is hiring! We are looking for a Dog Hiker / Canine Caregiver to lead our Outdoor Adventure Hikes, as well as helping at the Indoor Day camp. This is a full time, long term position for a dedicated, passionate individual who is able to grow with our company. About you: * Strong knowledge of dog behaviour and body language, and motivation to continue learning about dogs. * Sensitivity towards animals and above average work ethic. * Strong problem solving skills. * Comfortable and motivated to work outdoors in all conditions. * Comfortable working in a small team, empathic and eager to help and support your team mates. * Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean driving records, comfortable driving in all conditions. About the position: * 30-35 hours per week * Salary: $15.00-$17.00 per hour, dependant on experience * The position is mainly outdoors, in a natural environment, leading off-leash hikes in a fully-fenced area. * Main tasks: caring for the dogs and ensuring everyone has a safe and fun time, as well as providing feedback to clients and other team members. Monitoring play and behaviour, cleaning and giving great service to our clients. Driving a large vehicle to transport the dogs from our Indoor day camp in Victoria to the Outdoor Adventure Camp. * You will be working as part of a close team as well as independently. About us: We are a small team of caring individuals striving to provide compassionate, top-notch dog care. We have both an Indoor Day Camp and a fully fenced 2 acre Outdoor Dog Park.
