Dependable person required to work for a Courier service from November 21, 2019 to January 3, 2020. Applicant must have their own SUV, Minivan or Truck with Canopy. Do not apply if you have a car or do not have a vehicle. Job duties include, but are not limited to: * Sorting mail * Using scanners, electronic tracking tools and computers * Delivering letters, packages and boxes in your vehicle to the Greater Victoria and Sooke area * Bending, lifting and carrying packages (some heavy lifting may be required) A valid driver's license, drivers abstract and criminal record check are required. Starting and ending location of work: 4215 Commerce Circle, Victoria BC. Training: Orientation session will take place for one day in October 2019. If successful, training will begin November 21 to approximately November 27, 2019. Full time work will begin November 28, 2019 to January 3, 2020. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm each day (approximate times) No work or pay on December 25, 26 and January 1. Daily rate of pay: Orientation and training: $100 per day for approx 6 days = $600 Full time work from November 28 to January 3, 2020: $210 per day. No pay or work on December 25, 26 or January 1. 24 days x $210 = $5040 Employer will cover cost of: Daily rate of pay Criminal record check WCB coverage Employee will cover all other costs including gas, maintenance to vehicle, and insurance upgrade. There is no charge for a drivers abstract from the motor vehicle branch. A T4A will be issued and employee is responsible for paying income tax.
