JOB POSTING - January 2020 Position Title: Counsellor and Facilitator Reports to: Bridges Director of Programs and Counselling Program Coordinator Hours: 37.5 hours per week Start Date: February 2020 Term: Permanent Full Time Locations: Langford, BC & Victoria, BC Salary: The wage will be determined based on Bridges salary guideline, and level of experience; a comprehensive extended health and dental benefits package is available upon completion of the probationary period Closing Date: January 29, 2020 Summary: Bridges for Women Society serves the communities of southern Vancouver Island and the south Gulf Islands that are located on the traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Esquimalt and Songhees), Malahat, Pacheedaht, Scia'new, T'Sou-ke and W̱SÁNEĆ, (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples. Bridges draws on its extensive knowledge of the impacts of abuse on employability, to provide education, training and consulting to community agencies, employers and government. Bridges for Women Society is looking for a dynamic and skilled woman to join our team. We are seeking an experienced counsellor, primarily based out of our Langford office, to provide trauma-informed, therapeutic counselling supports to women-identified survivors of trauma, abuse and neglect. This individual will be passionate about this work and versatile and comfortable working out of multiple locations including local First Nations communities. In addition to providing individual counselling, this individual is also a skilled facilitator, and able to facilitate both counselling and psychoeducational groups in our various program areas, including in our Indigenous Women's Bridging Programs.
