A female adult with developmental disabilities and some physical issues requires a full time assistant to help her with day to day living and to have a better life. A sense of humour, a positive outlook, and a certain love of just talking are important. Experience with autism or fasd is useful, but full training is supplied. Must have a driver's license (we have the vehicle) and 1st aid are required. Knowledge of computers, pads, and pods is helpful. The position involves trips into the community (shopping, movies, etc) plus basic household tasks- cleaning, cooking, and some personal care. 39 hours a week, laid out in three 13 hour shifts (8:30 am to 9:30 pm, Tuesday, Thursday, and your choice of either Saturday or Sunday, at $17.50 per hour to start. 4 days a week off!
