Casual Employee needed for Seniors' Centre

We are looking for a relief employee for our Seniors Centre. This position would include orientations to multiple jobs including Food Service for lunch and dinner in the dining room (11-7pm); Daytime Housekeeping (9-5pm or 10:30-6:30pm) which includes suite and common area cleaning, dishwashing in the kitchen, etc. and Overnight Housekeeping (12-8am) which is also common area cleaning. All positions have the responsibility of responding to emergency alarms. Filling serving shifts would probably be the highest demand, however applicants must be willing and able to fill occasional overnight shifts. SOME CURRENT WEEKDAY AVAILABILITY IS A MUST - please state your availability in your cover letter. We are looking for a dependable, personable, professionally attired person who has a love for seniors and will strive to always be providing the best service they can to the clients in our care. If you think you have some experience in these areas then we can keep you fairly busy. Applicants must have serving experience in high volume facilities, not including convenience or fast food, and current Food Safe Certificate. They must also obtain a Criminal Record Check clearance and CPR/ First Aid when employment is offered. The wage is dependent on the shift that is being filled and ranges from $16.78-20.27 which includes 9.8% in lieu of benefits. This position requires Union Membership -- BCGEU Local 301 and is open to both male and female applicants.
