Job Description SUMMARY: To assist the Front Store Manager (FSM) in managing the human, physical and financial resources of the store and in ensuring that store objectives are achieved by focusing on improving product flow from the backroom to the sales floor. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Operations Role models best practice customer service at Shoppers Drug Mart Follows up with Supervisors to ensure communication cascade for evening /weekend huddles and timely updates as required Update Process Board with tasks from store walk Ensures tasks get accomplished in a timely fashion Ensures that backroom inventory management initiative (BIMI) is to standard at all times Generates daily low stock report and provides to merchandisers/section captains Communicates expected deliveries with receiver to develop an action plan for receiving Role models and monitors adherence to receiving principles focusing on totes first and sorting techniques Customer Service Proactively engages customers with increased focus during peak traffic times Assists FSM to ensure all product-related processes are implemented effectively Standards Ensures that exceptional customer service is provided beyond expectation, as outlined in the Store Operating Standards Ensures employees present proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines Empowers employees to ensure customer satisfaction Marketing and Merchandising Oversees implementation of store marketing programs Spotlights new or exclusive products at daily huddles Ensures staff know about upcoming events to share with customers Recognizes CSI performers Oversees PC Optimum program including communication of performance and review and follows up of individual operator ID performance for sign-ups and email captures Assists in the hiring process for Front End Cashiers/Supervisors (recommend to FSM) Ensures staff is properly trained in all aspects of their role and provides on-going coaching and instructions Assists in ongoing employee performance management and development, including performance reviews, progressive discipline with FSM
