Advertising and Marketing Specialist

Talentcor Victoria is now accepting resumes for the full time permanent position of Advertising & Marketing Specialist. Our client, a very well established & successful retail client is looking to add to their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development & implementation of all parts of our client's marketing & communication strategy. Major Duties & Responsibilities: * Marketing Planning o Work with management to create long & short-term marketing plans o Identify opportunities & provide recommendations on new marketing initiatives * Advertising Creation o Provide deadlines to buying team for content submission for ads o Ensure Marketing Coordinator has social media content scheduled o Liaise with the necessary media groups o Work with the Marketing Coordinator to make sure in-store signage is created o Coordinate with all store locations regarding necessary materials * Campaign Reporting o Measure the impact & outcomes of marketing activities o Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual market reports * Other Duties o Ensure that every initiative is aimed at maintaining a consistent brand image & increasing brand awareness o Be aware of competitors marketing strategies & keep up-to-date on industry trends o Plan, execute & attend special events (as required) as well as cover activities & campaigns from a social media perspective Education, Experience & Skills: * High School Diploma required; Post-Secondary preferred. * 2+ years' experience in a marketing or communications role * Retail experience desired * Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred. * Strong organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment * Ability to prioritize work & multi-task successfully * Excellent written & verbal communication skills * Excellent attention to detail skills & customer service skills Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!
