JOB OPPORTUNITIES - AUXILIARY (This is a Union position) Posting Number #2019-91 WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR Oak Bay Recreation Centre _______________________________________________________________ Responsible for the preparation and teaching of the Canadian Red Cross Preschool, Swim Kids, and Adult swim programs. Responsibilities: * Safety supervision of class at all times; * Continuous evaluation of participants throughout lesson set; * Utilize a variety of teaching methods and incorporate fun and creativity into lessons; * Completion of administration in a timely manner. Qualifications: * Current Water Safety Instructor certification; * Current Emergency First Aid certificate, or equivalent; * Current CPR-C dated within one year; * Provision of a current Police or RCMP Criminal Record check. Rate: $19.88-$20.86 per hour, plus $2.78-$2.92 per hour in lieu of benefits. Hours: Varied.
