Early Childhood Educators

Exciting Job Opportunity on Hornby Island! The Hornby Island Daycare Society has openings for 2 full time, certified and experienced Early Childhood Educators. Our early learning center offers two programs year round; Group Care for 3 to 5 yr olds licensed for 15 children and an Infant Toddler program licensed for 6 children. We also piloted a Forest School program for the summer for our Pre-K's and returning Kinders and want to continue that service next summer and provide a mini Forest Program for our new Pre-K's from Sept to June. We are open 4 days per week and almost always operate with enhanced ratio in both programs. It is a very exciting and dynamic time to join our team as we are part of the provincial Inclusion Pilot Project and are undergoing a significant assessment process of our program, equipment and resources through both an Early Learning Framework and an Inclusion lens.
