A middle of the 19th century rosewood double chair back settee. The settee has a rosewood frame with four turned legs that have gilt brass casters and carved rosewood scroll shaped hand rests and supports. The settee has a high chair back at each end and an upholstered rail across the center of the back with six turned rosewood spirals and a lower rail. The settee is in very good condition and was re-upholstered in the last 5-10 years. (Circa 1850)
